Canoeing at Cromford
Last week, our year 5 and 6 pupils had the opportunity to take part in a canoeing expedition to Cromford, courtesy of Anthony Gell School. The day was full of excitement, with a few soggy bottoms from splashing paddles and wet seats, but thankfully, nobody took an unexpected swim!
The pupils displayed excellent teamwork and determination while navigating the calm waters of the river. The picturesque surroundings of Cromford canal added to the charm of the experience, and the weather was great too.
Overall, the canoeing trip to Cromford was not just a fun outing, but a valuable learning experience that allowed our pupils to develop their confidence, teamwork skills, and appreciation for the great outdoors.
Thank you to all at Anthony Gell for organising the event.
